Welcome to a new year and the start of gearing up for National Public Health Week 2021. This year’s theme is “Building Bridges to Better Health”. As you may remember, in the past TPHA has participated in the APHA challenge by sponsoring a team. This year we are excited to say we are once again sponsoring a team.  Grab a friend, join TPHA’s team, and take some time for yourselves during the day to release the added stress we are all experiencing because of the pandemic.

APHA’s Keep It Moving Challenge is a great way to focus on being active every day, staying motivated by your team members, and engaging in a little friendly competition.

If you’ve been part of our Billion Steps Challenge in the past, you’re already familiar with how it works. We’ve added even more activities for you to try out and share with your team – walking not required!

Sign up online at www.aphakeepitmoving.walkertracker.com, or through the Walker Tracker app, available in the App Store for iPhone or Google Play store for android. If you’re using the app to sign up, be sure to use “aphakeepitmoving.walkertracker.com” as your “program URL.”  Join TPHA’s team by searching “Tennessee Public Health Association” in the teams search, or create your own team and ask friends and family to get involved. The challenge runs through the end of National Public Health Week on April 11.
