- TPHA is now accepting abstract submissions for oral and poster presentations for the 2021 Annual Conference to be held virtually September 29-October 31. Abstracts that align with this year’s theme, Impacting the Health of Tennesseans in a Pre and Post-COVID World, including but not limited to topics of health equity, racial inequality, social determinants of health, and health policy issues, will be given priority consideration. Priority Deadline is Friday, April 30th. Submit an abstract here.
- The 2021 recipient of the TPHA Visionary Award is Crystal Chatman who is recognized for her work with the Beautiful Spirited Women Girls Mentoring Program (BSW), a non-profit dedicated to empowering and advocating for girls. Join us on April 29 at TPHA’s virtual Spring Meeting to learn more about Crystal Chatman and her work with BSW.
- 2021 Student Video Challenge: Kamryn Burgess and Piper Elrod, students in the Introduction to Public Health class at the University of Tennessee Knoxville, will be recognized at this year’s Spring Meeting on April 29th for their winning video, Building Bridges to Better Health with Safe Sex
